Dr Emmanuel R. Ezeome is the President-elect of the West African College of Surgeons and the Director of the Bioethics Unit, Institute of Public Health, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, Nigeria. He is a Professor of Surgery at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nigeria and a Consultant Surgical Oncologist, University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu, Nigeria. He is a member of the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital Heath Research Ethics Committee and a collaborating Faculty with the Center for Bioethics and Research, Ibadan Nigeria. Currently, he leads the UNN site implementation of the Eastern Nigeria Research Ethics Training (ENRICH) program; an NIH/FIC grant supported program for Research Ethics Training in Nigeria. His main areas of focus in Bioethics research are Informed Consent, Ethics of Genomic research, and Data Science Ethics.
