DR. TITUS KOFI BEYUO

    Dr. Beyuo is the General Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association. He is a senior lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University of Ghana Medical School, and a Consultant Obstetrician /Gynaecologist at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

    Dr. Beyuo is a medical educator involved in training medical students as well as residents of West African and Ghana postgraduate colleges.

    He is a pharmacologist with research interests in clinical trials and medicines used in pregnancy. His research focus is in improving care outcomes for medical complications of pregnancy such as hypertensive disorders, sickle cell disease and diabetes. He has over 15 peer-reviewed publications scientific journals to his credit.

    He has served the medical association in several committees and represented the interest of the Ghana Medical Association on some national committees such as the technical working group on the Ministry of Health on attraction and retention of health workers to rural and deprived areas and the Professional and Disciplinary committee of the Governing Board of the Nurses and Midwifery Council of Ghana.

    Oncologist, University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu, Nigeria. He is a member of the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital Heath Research Ethics Committee and a collaborating Faculty with the Center for Bioethics and Research, Ibadan Nigeria. Currently, he leads the UNN site implementation of the Eastern Nigeria Research Ethics Training (ENRICH) program; an NIH/FIC grant supported program for Research Ethics Training in Nigeria. His main areas of focus in Bioethics research are Informed Consent, Ethics of Genomic research, and Data Science Ethics.
